Scheduled to launch in the spring of 2027, The Open for Business Project is a frontier‑AI‑powered initiative dedicated to the revitalization of Chicago’s underused land. The platform identifies vacant lots and underutilized spaces across the city—mapping parcels, ownership, zoning, and condition—to reveal where dormant ground holds the greatest potential for renewal and shared benefit.

From there, the work turns to transformation. Each identified site is reimagined as either an economic development site—a home for new business, investment, and opportunity—or a nature‑oriented experience that returns green space, ecological vitality, and restorative public life to the surrounding community.
